The Purpose of this guide
- To help parents cope with common childhood infections such as colds, flu, sore throats, earaches and other respiratory tract infections.
Remember
- Handwashing is the best way to stop the spread of respiratory tract infections.
- Both viruses and bacteria cause respiratory tract infections, but antibiotics only work against bacteria. Antibiotics do not work against viruses.
- Use antibiotics wisely to prevent bacteria from becoming resistant to antibiotics.
